Uganda's Tourism Sector Sees Record Growth in Q3 2024

Uganda's tourism sector has experienced unprecedented growth in the third quarter of 2024, with a 35% increase in international arrivals compared to the same period last year. This surge is attributed to aggressive marketing campaigns by the Uganda Tourism Board (UTB) and increased investment in infrastructure, particularly in the western region surrounding Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Minister of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities, Hon. Rebecca Kadaga, stated, "These figures demonstrate Uganda's growing appeal as a premier tourist destination. We are committed to sustainable tourism practices that benefit both our economy and our environment."

Major Infrastructure Project to Boost Tourism Accessibility
