Government Unveils New Incentives for Tourism Investors

The Ugandan government has announced a package of new incentives designed to attract both domestic and foreign investment into the tourism sector. These incentives include tax breaks, land leases at subsidized rates, and streamlined regulatory processes.
Minister of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, Hon. Matia Kasaija, emphasized the government's commitment to supporting the growth of the tourism industry. "We recognize the immense potential of tourism to drive economic growth and create jobs. These incentives are designed to make Uganda an even more attractive destination for investors," he said.
Major Infrastructure Project to Boost Tourism Accessibility

The Ministry of Works and Transport has announced the commencement of a major infrastructure project aimed at improving road access to key tourist destinations across Uganda. This project will involve the construction of new roads and the upgrading of existing ones, significantly reducing travel times and enhancing the overall tourism experience.
The first phase of the project will focus on improving access to Murchison Falls National Park and Kidepo Valley National Park, two of Uganda's most popular tourist attractions. The project is expected to be completed within three years and will have a significant positive impact on the tourism sector.
